IMPORTANT: This course provides useful awareness training on solvents and isocyanates and can support COSHH and diisocyanate training arrangements. Where workers use diisocyanates, employers should ensure additional task-specific UK REACH-compliant training is provided, recorded, and refreshed as required.
Why is it needed?
Training for the safe use of solvents and isocyanates is important because these chemicals pose significant health risks, including severe occupational asthma and dermatitis, and their use is subject to mandatory legal requirements.
First-aid preparedness is also a key legal requirement under COSHH and HSE guidance.
