Noise Awareness – Made for Mobile
This course follows UK HSE guidance and is Made for Mobile, making it easy to complete on a smartphone, tablet or computer.

Who is it for?
This course is designed for anyone who may be exposed to noise at work, including:
- Construction and demolition workers
- General maintenance workers
- Engineering and manufacturing operatives
Electricians, plumbers and joiners
- Groundworkers and plant operatives
- Workers using noisy tools, machinery or equipment
- Anyone working in or entering designated hearing protection zones
Why is it needed?
Regular exposure to workplace noise can cause permanent hearing damage, including noise-induced hearing loss and tinnitus.
Workers need to understand when noise may present a risk, recognise the early warning signs, understand hearing protection requirements, and know the practical steps they can take to protect their hearing.
The course covers noise exposure, the 80, 85 and 87 dB(A) exposure values, hearing protection and SNR, hearing protection zones, correct fitting and maintenance, and reporting hearing symptoms or defective protection.
How long does it take?
25 minutes approximately
Do I get a certificate?
Yes, you will receive a downloadable certificate once you pass all the questions.
How often is it recommended?
The certificate lasts for three years.
